As we had children heading into middle school, we wanted to provide our children with substantial well-prepared classes. Having had a great co-op for our other children, we decided to do this virtual even though we were all local.  When Covid hit, we found ourselves uninterrupted and friends who wanted to join. As our group grew to eight or nine families, we wondered what would happen if we put it out there to Latter-day Saint Homeschooling Families. A few posts later and Latter UP was born. We have seen prayers answered and doors opened. We have seen families reaching out and leaning in to make this a place where you can be supported. It was truly created with the strength of Latter-day Saint Homeschooling friends and families and continues to be empowered by that energy.  We are so grateful for all the lives that have been in our Latter UP family and look forward to meeting many more friends on this journey.

In the Spring we hold bi-monthly Open Houses. You can learn all about Latter UP at this meeting and find out if this is a good fit for your family. Fill out our family interest form on our home page and our board member handling enrollment and contributions will send you an email with the available dates.

Offer a class. Sometimes teaching a group of kids keeps us consistent with our own and we can always use great well-put-together classes.

If you see a class we have run that you might be interested in teaching, reach out, we may have a lot of it already set up for you!

We welcome great assistants at Latter UP. If you prefer grading over teaching and enjoy leading discussions but don't want to oversee the class, we'd love to hear from you. An assistant can be invaluable in helping the instructor keep up with everything. Contact us to find the right fit.

Join our Teaching Support Committee! With a wide range of classes, we rely on a dedicated committee to provide essential support to our teachers. Members of this group visit classrooms, offer assistance where needed, and provide valuable resources to ensure our teachers are well-supported.

We have had so many great classes that with a little organization and a small reset they will be ready to hand off to another teacher.

Organize Family Support Classes and Groups. Ideas might include a parent book club, uplifting speakers, or a homeschool how-to such as how to prepare a transcript.
